Storyteller at Heart
My heart has lived in a fantasy world since early childhood and I am delighted that God has finally brought me to the place where I can bring the fantasies to life through story. Like many writers of other worlds, I cut my teeth on JRR Tolkien, CS Lewis, and Ray Bradbury. I'm also a fan of Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson. Now I make up my own cosmos, characters, and catastrophes. I’m blessed to encourage, equip and empower other writers through my own writing and workshops.

I am a follower of the Rabbi Jesus, married to my best friend and inspiration, and the mother of three incredible children, one daughter and two sons, with a son-in-love, a daughter-in-love and three beautiful granddaughters. My husband and I both served in the US Navy and have lived/traveled through many states and all over Asia. We both still enjoy traveling and when we’re not, we call the Texas Hill Country home.

Covered Bridges
When not writing, I passionately pursue prayer, reading (so many books, so little time), and the outdoors. I continually explore what it means to be a good steward of all God has given: His love, His creation, His blessings, to include: family, friends, church, people, home, gifts, experiences, finances, and time. In this I endeavor through reading, learning, and listening, with the desire to put it all into practice, to share the successes, the failures, and whatever is in between. I’m blessed to encourage, equip and empower other writers and prayer warriors through my own writing and workshops.
With opportunities abounding, I combined my passion for prayer and prose with my husband's love for capturing God's glory in photography, and we worked together to independently publish the Be Still photo devotional series.
Our first book, Praise: Proclaiming the Glory of God released November 2017, then Wonder: Contemplating the Mysteries of God released November 2018, followed by Explore: Enjoying the Creation of God released November 2019 along with its companion devotional, then Consider: Trusting the Abundance of God released November 2020, Reflect: Seeking the Heart of God released in 2021, and finally Hope: Accepting the Blessing of God in 2022. Our seventh book in the series is planned to release on Amazon in November 2023.

Seeking to fulfill her life-long dream, Jill diligently works on her light sci-fi/fantasy series and composes numerous short stories, including a collection dearly titled the Peddler Series. The Peddler and the Goatherdess in the anthology Bizarre Bazaar by Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers is Jill’s first foray into traditional publication.
With opportunities abounding, Jill combined her passion for prayer and prose with her husband's love for capturing God's glory in photography, and they worked together to independently publish the Be Still photo devotional series.
